The Business Banking Modernization Department supports all core components of the business banking sector. We’re currently seeking a data functional analyst to join our dynamic team. If you’re curious, independent, disciplined, motivated and you enjoy teamwork, this opportunity is for you! You’ll be responsible for understanding user needs, translating those needs into analytic solutions and contributing to data quality, accessibility and strategic use. You’ll act as a bridge between the business and technical teams. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Collect and analyze user data and reporting needs
• Translate functional requirements into technical specifications
• Help design and develop the datamart (including modelling, structuring, and documentation)
• Validate data quality and ensure consistency with business management rules
• Work with BI developers to create dashboards and automated reports
• Document data flows, transformation rules and data dictionaries
• Ensure datamart users are provided with functional support
• Contribute to data governance efforts (including metadata, security and traceability)

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• A minimum of six years of relevant experience in functional analysis and data management within a datamart or data warehouse environment
• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
• Knowledge of French is required
• ⁠Expertise in communications, plain language and writing
• Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAP BO) and query languages (SQL)
• Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clientsKnowledge of Denodo and DataStage
• Understanding of business issues and the ability to translate them into technical solutions
