Regional Sales Director Investment Solutions

Desjardins is looking for a motivated and strategic Regional Sales Director, Investment Solutions to drive the growth of our investment product offerings within the province of Alberta. Based in Calgary or the immediate area, the ideal candidate brings a strong network of relationships within the IIROC and MFDA advisor communities and a deep understanding of the investment landscape. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Promote and position Desjardins investment solutions including Mutual Funds, Principal Protected Notes (PPNs), and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) to meet the evolving needs of independent financial advisors across all intermediary networks.
- Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both existing and prospective advisors, with a focus on those operating within the IIROC and MFDA channels.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales and activity targets by executing a strategic and disciplined sales approach.
- Plan, schedule, and conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with advisors to present product offerings, provide updates, and uncover new business opportunities.
- Leverage CRM tools and data analytics to identify top producers, monitor advisor engagement, and deliver personalized support and follow-up.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Desjardins investment products, offering insights, guidance, and technical expertise to help advisors grow their business.
- Design and deliver impactful group presentations, training sessions, and monthly advisor events to enhance advisor knowledge, engagement, and promotion of Desjardins Investment Solutions.
- Manage the regional sales budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support business development and advisor success.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field for business, finance or economics or MBA
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Holds or currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Chartered Investment Manager (CIM), or a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or equivalent.
- Experience working in investment asset management sales
- Expert proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Advanced knowledge of the IIROC and MFDA advisor landscape in the Calgary, Edmonton, and surrounding area.
- Available for daily in person travel in the Alberta region, including for overnight travel on a monthly basis.
- Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
