Job Offer
As a Senior Advisor, Strategic Sourcing, Professional Services in the Information Technology sector, you contribute to contractual agreements with partners of the Desjardins Group aimed at acquiring professional services for the organization’s needs, notably in relation to operations and technology modernization programs. You ensure the integrity of the procurement process by planning and coordinating sourcing with suppliers. May cover one or more sub-specialties such as strategic sourcing, acquisition of professional services, contract and partnership management, outsourced services management, or governance. You assume a leadership role with various stakeholders in the context of files and projects involving development and strategic, complex, and innovative initiatives. The nature of the files requires extensive and in-depth knowledge in your area of specialization. You formulate recommendations related to the development and execution of files or projects of high operational and conceptual complexity requiring a comprehensive and detailed understanding of the business domain and the organization. There are numerous alignments, and you are called upon to interact with a large number of stakeholders working in various areas of expertise. Mastery of interpersonal relationships therefore becomes an essential competency. You act as a subject matter expert and advisor in your area of specialization and serve as a resource person and coach to decision-making bodies. You represent Desjardins’ position in the context of major agreements with external suppliers. More specifically, you will be called upon to lead complex negotiations in the field of Professional Services in the technology sector, such as system integration mandates, managed services, migration mandates, conversion or platform modernization. You must be able to play an advisory role in your field of expertise with clients and various stakeholders and operate in a matrix environment. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Advise and support your clients and partners in the positioning, planning, development, execution, and follow-up of various major projects and mandates under your responsibility
- Develop and ensure the implementation of strategies and action plans resulting from strategic orientations and business positioning in procurement
- Analyze needs. Identify and analyze issues, address significant challenges, establish diagnoses, and make recommendations to the relevant bodies
- Oversee the development and evolution of policies, standards, models, and programs supporting your unit’s projects and strategic mandates
- Ensure the development, implementation, and follow-up of solutions, processes, strategic improvement opportunities, and long-term cost optimization. Develop indicators and monitoring methods for supplier performance
- Represent your unit before decision-making bodies

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in analysis as well as contract negotiation
- Knowledge of French required
- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
