    Temporary position for 12 months

    The Sponsorships Advisor supports the development of the partnerships’ portfolio, including analysis, negotiation, contract, activation, budget and ongoing management of partner relationship related to the portfolio they are assigned. A seasoned expert in crafting sponsorship activations that align with brand and business strategy and objectives while displaying superior sponsorship project management from end-to-end, they work in collaboration with various members of the team as well as the experts involved in the ongoing strategic planning and execution of partnership activations. More specifically, you will be required to :

    • Analyze of new partnership opportunities and existing portfolio contractual renewals, in consultation with their Team Lead.
    • Build strong recommendations and send to appropriate stakeholders during analysis and decision-making phase, including seeking relevant risk analysis from Brand & Validation Committee (Brand, PR, Compliance, etc.)
    • In accordance with the process and terms of the Sponsorships and Donations Directive, negotiate partnership agreements and work in collaboration with the partner and key internal stakeholders to draft contract and manage contract compliance, ensuring that partnership and related contractual benefits aligns with current sponsorship and brand strategy, priorities and is in-line with the Sponsorships and Donations Directive, while ensuring that the partnership provides a strong ROI (return-on-investment) and ROO (return-on-objectives), alignment with organizational values, reputation and interests. The Advisor is also responsible for any contractual adaptations, renewals and amendments related to their assigned portfolio.
    • Maintain and ensure completion of all relevant contractual and project files (including appropriate documentation and validations).
    • Management of partnership budget, ensuring that project remains within planned budget.
    • Monitor key elements of the partnership from a contractual perspective and ensure accurate payment and processing of contractual payments (partnership entry fees).
    • In collaboration with key stakeholders, draft and validate partnerships mandate and lead kick-off within the working group and taking accountability for validations ensuring initiatives align with project objectives.
    • Manage on-going relationship with the partner as well as maintain strong, collaborative relationships internal teams.
    • Monitor, measure, and report on sponsorship performance using KPIs, analytics, and feedback to inform ongoing improvements and demonstrate business value.
    • Perform administrative tasks as assigned as well as support organizational requests for information related to assigned partnership portfolio.
    • Stay current on industry best practices, trends, and competitor activity, ensuring recommendations and activations are innovative and best-in-class.
    • Identify and bring forward recommendations for ways to build connections between portfolio to further amplify our impact in the community.
    • Help champion a culture of respect, collaboration, agility, and creative problem-solving; actively navigate ambiguity and competing business needs to deliver solutions that balance all stakeholder interests and objectives.
    • As a sponsorships expert, in alignment with their respective Team Leader, provides advisory support within the organization for business sectors and support functions (e.g., training, toolkits, best practices) to internal teams and partners to elevate sponsorship execution and impact.
    • Additional tasks as assigned.

    • Salary range : $73 181 to $107 331 per year (Toronto suburbs)

    What you bring to the table

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or in a related field
    • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in brand sponsorship management, partnership marketing, or a related discipline, ideally in a complex, matrixed organization or a regulated industry
    • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
    • Advanced experience crafting and implementing sponsorship strategies that deliver measurable brand and business results
    • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
    • Advanced proficiency with project management
    • Advanced knowledge of using data and insights to assess opportunities and recommend strategy
    • Advanced commercial acumen and risk management
