Regional Sales Director, Life and Health Insurance (DAN)

As a Regional Sales Director, you are a dynamic force driving the growth of life and living benefits sales across the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN) —an exclusive group of independent business owners dedicated to representing Desjardins Insurance. You serve as a strategic ambassador for Desjardins, actively engaging at industry conferences, regional events, and Agent’s offices to elevate our brand presence and foster meaningful connections. You collaborate closely with the independent agents and their team members to champion innovative sales strategies, deliver impactful education on insurance concepts, and identify tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients. Your ability to inspire, influence, and lead is key to unlocking new opportunities and accelerating sales performance. With exceptional presentation and communication skills, you build and nurture strong relationships across your territory. Your deep expertise in life and living benefits products, combined with a proven track record in territory development, positions you as a trusted advisor and growth catalyst. This role focuses on supporting agents within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), contributing to the expansion and success of our dedicated sales force. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Drive sales of life and living benefits products across the Desjardins Agent Network.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with DAN Agents and coordinate efforts with Regional Directors across the territory.
- Collaborate within a high-performing team environment to execute strategic initiatives.
- Leverage digital tools and software platforms to analyze data, identify trends, and grow sales.
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Represent Desjardins Insurance at key industry and regional events.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- A minimum of seven years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) license
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) or relevant designations
- Advanced intermediate knowledge of the carriers, regulatory issues, and trends within the industry
- Expert proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Available for travel in the Greater Toronto region. (Must be located within greater GTA)
- Must be able to accommodate a home office
- Must have a valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle
