Practice Leader, CMDB
Job Offer
As a Practice Leader, CMDB (Configuration Management Database), you play a key role in defining, governing and updating the configuration management practice within the Technology Group. You serve as an expert CMDB resource, while supporting the unit manager in strategic planning, priority alignment and business objectives. You’re responsible for maintaining and updating the CMDB vision, actively contributing to the three-year strategic plan and ensuring consistency between the operational needs, service architecture and capacities of the ServiceNow platform. You provide influential leadership to the CMDB teams, IT partners and decision-making bodies, while ensuring the quality, reliability and business value of configuration data. More specifically, you will be required to:
Leadership and development of the CMDB practice
- Define, develop and update the CMDB practice in line with ITIL frameworks, business guidelines and market best practices, while serving as the main expert and reference point on CMDB, the CI life cycle and service dependency
- Guide, support and help practice members grow through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing
Strategic vision and planning
- Contribute to defining and executing the three-year strategic plan, including the CMDB technology and functional roadmap (ServiceNow, discovery, service modelling, ITSM integrations)
- Support the development of the annual budget, aligned with strategic priorities, evolving needs and team capacity
Governance, objectives and indicators
- Define, monitor and develop CMDB objectives and KPIs to ensure quality, compliance and business value
- Implement and maintain CMDB governance mechanisms and ensure alignment with key processes (changes, incidents, problems, continuity, security)
- Operational expertise and data quality
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy and completeness of CMDB data, including oversight of audits, corrective actions and CI models, relationships and configuration standards
Organizational influence and collaboration
- Act as a strategic partner and representative of the CMDB practice by influencing key structural decisions and supporting high-impact, cross-functional initiatives with IT teams and vendors

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience with ServiceNow CMDB (modelling, governance, integrations, discovery)
- Demonstrated experience in a functional or practice leadership role (without direct management)
- Experience in strategic, complex and multi-sector environments
- Knowledge of French is required
- Expertise in CMDB and configuration management in complex IT environments
- Strong command in ITIL practices and their operational integration
