Senior Advisor, Skills Training and Competency Development
Job Offer
As part of the Product Development and Training Department, Group Benefits and Retirement Savings Division, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a training strategy that promotes the development of skills needed to support product innovation. You lead and influence practitioners on development projects and highly innovative, complex strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. You help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your field of expertise. You make recommendations on the development and execution of projects and initiatives with a very high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. You use your analytical skills and comprehensive, in-depth understanding of your line of business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Recommend appropriate training strategies based on the impacts, scope of changes and issues identified, primarily in the context of projects.
- Come up with training solutions related to new products/services and their development, sometimes having to work from scratch.
- Identify the impacts and ensure consistency across reference documents related to the innovation and development of products and services.
- Participate in working groups about product and service innovation and development, positioning yourself as an expert and representative of the training team.
- Develop, promote and oversee the long-term growth of the SharePoint site. Create new pages and develop interactive content.
- Act as a project expert to align training needs with existing reference and training documents.
- Promote the rollout of changes within teams and sectors impacted by changes to products and services.
- Serve as resource person and coach in your field of expertise.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience in group insurance
- Experience in training development
- Strong communication skills in both French and English, both oral and written due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with english-speaking partners, members and/or clients
- In-depth knowledge on the elaboration of consistent training strategies from start to finish
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)
- Advanced writing and content creation skills
- Knowledge of group insurance
