    As the Senior Advisor, Operational Risk management, you serve as an expert supporting the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN) & Direct, Personal Lines Ontario, Atlantic and Western (OAW). In this role, you lead audit activities end‑to‑end, coordinating with all stakeholders to gather required information and ensuring strong operational controls are consistently maintained. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, internal audit processes, and FSRA-driven action plans, as well as demonstrated ability to coordinate stakeholders, manage and prioritize multiple deliverables, and support projects and audits effectively. Success in this position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. As lead, you work independently and resourcefully, leveraging available expertise while approaching challenges with a solutions‑focused mindset. Clear and effective communication is essential, as the role involves producing high‑quality documentation and presentations for senior leadership, and collaborating with diverse business partners to gather insights, align priorities, and uphold governance and regulatory requirements. More specifically, you will be required to:

    • Serve as the lead for the VP during regulatory and internal audits, ensuring full compliance, timely documentation, and the continuous strengthening of governance and oversight practices.  
    • Execute comprehensive risk analyses to identify emerging operational and regulatory risks, and develop clear, actionable mitigation plans that support business continuity and organizational resilience.  
    • Coordinate quarterly compliance reporting, including the preparation and delivery of License Training updates, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory expectations.  
    • Lead end-to-end risk assessments and validate operational controls in partnership with CECIM, reinforcing the 3 Lines of Defense model and ensuring that controls are designed, implemented, and functioning effectively.  
    • Collaborate closely with First and Second Lines of Defense to align risk tolerance, validate control effectiveness, and successfully execute the pRCSA Operational Control process.  
    • Drive proactive stakeholder engagement across the organization, ensuring alignment on audit responses, risk priorities, and the implementation of operational control enhancements.

    What you bring to the table

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field
    • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience
    • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
    • Expert proficiency in English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English speaking partners, members and/or clients
    • Expert knowledge in working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) 
    • Advanced knowledge Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance (including Life insurance) 
    • Advanced knowledge of audits
    • Advanced knowledge of the Desjardins Agent Network (DAN) 
    • Advanced knowledge of P&C systems, tools and processes
