Impact Investment Advisor

As an Impact Investment Advisor within a dynamic team, you will play the role of an expert in responsible investment and sustainable finance, integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions into our practices. You will directly contribute to the design and implementation of our frameworks for monitoring and evaluating social, environmental, and economic impacts. Your expertise supports the analysis of investment opportunities and the measurement of results for our projects in developing and emerging countries.
What will drive your daily work
You will play a key role in integrating, analyzing, and advancing ESG and impact‑investment practices within the organization. More specifically, you will be expected to:
- Lead impact assessments of potential companies, Fund investments, and partner financial institutions.
- Act as an ESG expert for internal teams, investors, and partners, providing strategic and operational guidance.
- Integrate environmental and social factors throughout the investment cycle and in technical assistance projects, including defining and monitoring objectives and performance indicators.
- Analyze and optimize ESG processes, formulate recommendations, and ensure their implementation.
- Develop strategies, tools, and solutions to facilitate the integration of environmental and social factors into organizational practices.
- Conduct impact studies and diagnostics, identify findings, and propose recommendations to improve future interventions.
- Contribute to the impact measurement and monitoring framework, as well as to the evolution of policies, standards, models, and tools in sustainable finance.
- Participate in ESG communications, including annual and quarterly reports, the website, and case studies.
- Produce analyses, tools, and reports related to your area of expertise.
- Maintain proactive monitoring of best practices in impact investing and sustainable finance.
- Stay informed about ESG developments and recommend necessary adjustments to internal processes.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a graduate degree in sustainable development or responsible investment is an asset.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of impact investing, responsible finance, and trends in impact fund management (a major asset).
- Experience in integrating or monitoring ESG strategies (social component: an asset).
- Experience in emerging markets (asset).
- SIPC, SCR, or other relevant certification (asset).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses.
- Rigor, attention to detail in research, analysis, and documentation, and strong writing skills.
- Ease in interpersonal relationships and collaborative work.
- Ability to quickly understand business issues in a dynamic and demanding environment.
- Creativity, open‑mindedness, and ability to propose innovative approaches.
- Strong client orientation and action‑oriented mindset.
- Good command of French and English, both spoken and written; Spanish is an asset.
Special conditions
- Contract position for 24 months with the possibility of extension.
- This position requires international travel 3 to 4 times per year, for an average duration of 2 weeks.
- Hybrid work arrangement (2 days onsite, 3 days remote).
