    The ratemaking team (Overall rate level, Ontario, Atlantic and Western regions) is looking for a candidate to join them as an actuarial team lead. Are you looking for a role where you can make an impact and have the opportunity to lead, influence and transform DGIG’s decision-making process for rate adjustment strategies? You may be just the person we’re looking for! More specifically, you will be required to:

    • Review the current process for rate indications, identify any shortcomings and find innovative solutions to make it more precise and effective.
    • Help implement new work processes for producing rate indications.
    • Oversee the production of rate indications and coordinate work with ratemaking teams and corporate actuarial services.
    • Coach the ratemaking teams in OAW and the members of the Overall Rate Level Analysis, OAW Auto team on the rate indications process and the selection of underlying assumptions.
    • Develop and recommend rate adjustment strategies
    • Monitor auto insurance product profitability in OAW markets

    What you bring to the table

    • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science
    • A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including extensive experience with the overall rate-level analysis process
    • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
    • Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
    • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
